Making the switch to better banking is easy! Just follow these four simple steps:

  • Set up your new account at one of our convenient locations. For proper identification procedures and account security, please bring your driver's license(s) or ID card with you.
  • Close your old account(s). If you have electronic bill payments at your old bank, bring us the list of your payees and we'll help you set them up.
  • Set up your Direct Deposits – Simply send our Direct Deposit Request Form (PDF) to your employer or other payment source, so your funds can be quickly and automatically deposited to your accounts each pay period.
  • Switch over Automatic Payments by providing each of your vendors with your new First State Bank account information.
